We offer a range of blood tests to help assess your overall health and hormone levels. While blood tests are not always needed to diagnose hormonal conditions, they can provide valuable insights into your health, guide your hormone replacement therapy (HRT) treatment, and rule out other conditions that may cause similar symptoms. When will I receive my blood test results?
Once processed, your blood test results will be sent to your clinician at Newson Clinic, they will review your results and email you with any relevant comment.
- Results, including a comment from your clinician, typically take up to 10 days.
- If you have not received them within two weeks, please contact us to check their status.
If you have a follow-up appointment scheduled imminently, your clinician may discuss your results during your consultation instead of via email

Preparing for your blood test
Follow these simple steps to ensure the most accurate results:
a)   Stay well-hydrated- Drinking plenty of water before your test makes it easier to draw blood.
b)   Fasting is not usually required- You can eat and drink as usual.
c)   Continue your HRT as normal, unless advised otherwise by your clinician.
If you use HRT gels or creams, avoid applying them to your arms on the day of the test to prevent sample contamination.
