Confidence in Menopause course
Maqsuda has always had a strong interest in women’s health, consistently advocating a holistic approach to physical and psychological wellbeing throughout her career as a GP. Her passion for menopause care was sparked in 2016 after discovering the benefits of body-identical HRT. Since then, she has been committed to proactively identifying and supporting women experiencing perimenopausal and menopausal symptoms – many of whom have previously been misinformed, misdiagnosed or denied access to appropriate treatment.
She recently left General Practice after 28 years, in order to focus solely on women's health, and is currently working towards obtaining the British Menopause Society Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care. She considers her role as a clinician at Newson Clinic to be the most fulfilling and rewarding phase of her career. Every woman's journey is unique, and a successful personalised menopause consultation empowers them with evidence-based knowledge, can restore quality of life and supports short-term and long-term physical, emotional and hormonal health.
In her spare time, Maqsuda enjoys reading, exploring her local National Trust parks and spending quality time with family and friends.
